ZIMEGO was born from the story of an immigrant father carrying his family’s hopes and the weight of every struggle that comes with seeking a better life.

When our founder came to America from South Korea, he worked tirelessly in corporate environments that were often harsh and dehumanizing, where workers were treated as replaceable rather than respected. When the company he dedicated himself to went bankrupt, it became the beginning of something more meaningful. From loss came creation — and ZIMEGO was born.

In Korean, ZIMEGO sounds like “to bear one’s burdens,” or “to carry one’s luggage.” The name symbolizes the journey of endurance and faith — the willingness to keep carrying forward, even when the road is uncertain.

Our bags are built on that philosophy: to hold not just your belongings, but your story, purpose, and perseverance.

Because life asks us all to carry something. And what we carry, shapes who we become.
